I've been MIA for the better part of this week. Unfortunately I caught the flu bug that's been going around. We had my boyfriend's little girl with us this past weekend and she was the first one to get it... I figured I would be next.
I spent 4 days at home in bed and am just now starting to feel better. Man, did it ever take a lot out of me.
My Sparking pretty well came to a halt for that time because I was spending the majority of my days sleeping. But I'm back now and ready to tackle November!
I just spent the last hour or so catching up on my Spark teams, inputting some of my nutritional information and reading blogs/statuses to see what all of my Spark friends have been up to. I've missed this!
Although I've spend most of the week feeling ill, I did have some exciting news happen. Or I think it's going to be exciting anyway. My boyfriend, who has been struggling with some things lately, has finally come up with a game plan for the next little while. He has been able to work out an opportunity to go back to school full time as opposed to the part time classes he has been taking. It's meaning some big changes though... he is going to have to leave his full time job and find something part time and I will have to pick up a few of the expenses we incur monthly...and we have decided we will leave our current apartment and will be moving back in with my sister whom we've lived with before.
I know that things will be a little bit crazy for the next few weeks while we get things moved and straightened out but I really feel in my heart that this is going to be a really positive step for the both of us and will truly benefit us in the long run. He seems really excited about it and I am really hoping he will push himself to work hard and finish this strong. His ultimate goal is to become a paramedic so right now he is upgrading some of the high school credits that he needs.
We never seem to pick the easiest times to do things like this with Christmas coming and me going away on a work trip in two weeks but I guess as long as we get things accomplished that is the biggest thing!
I hope all is well for the rest of you and that everyone who was affected by Sandy is making out ok. Here on the East Coast of Canada in little old PEI we received some wind and rain but otherwise made out ok. Chat soon.
