This week has been crazy busy & crazy stressful . . . this will probably be short & sweet.
Stayed the same this week . . . Very happy about that. Was thinking as I pulled on my Cw-x tights that they're so much more comfortable than last yr . . . if that's not inspiration I don't know what is!
Still waiting on TOM, altho a bit campy the last few days so I think maybe it's coming . . . longest break so far & frustratingly puts m at risk to have it during the next HM. Again. I thought I might have gained due to bloating from that, hence the happiness over staying the same.
Challenging weekend . . . next week won't be so bad but the week after will be another major challenge.
I moved up my long run to today because we have company & that frees up the weekend. Despite chilly, cloudy & occasionally spitting it was a really good run. Maybe because it's a cut back week & only did 8 miles - was thinking towards the end that 15k could be the perfect race length; too bad there aren't that many of them out there.
Or maybe it was the knee high compression socks (new).
Decided not to do the race this weekend - too much going on.
The first couple of miles were hard & slower than my normal - slower than I wanted even tho I'm working on not going out too fast. But after that I settled into a comfortable pace that seemed to get faster & faster & easier & easier . . . not that it was fast by any means, just in comparison to those first couple of miles.
I must confess none of my long runs have been at 14 mm like they're supposed to be . . . Usually hitting somewhere around 13:30; I know that doesn't sound like a big difference but it adds up as the miles add up.
Still, I'm feeling good & strong, which is just how you want to feel.
Maybe I'll get a chance to update my status later to let people know I'm alive . . .
