Absolutely Friends! It's back to the basics because I'm up 0.8 lbs this week! Well, & here's why! (No surprise!)

-I only partially tracked most days, & on 2 days, not at all!
-Was sick & ate soup & crackers x2 days. Mind you, I would eat a WHOLE package of saltines each time! Food addict that I am, I didn't stop at just 4-6!
-Experienced increased cravings & indulged in comfort foods
-Less exercise
-Low energy
-Eating less fruits & veggies
-Halloween Party! (which was very fun, by the way!)

It was at a friend's home on Marco Island, in her driveway, no less! Weather was perfect & there was a steady flow of trick or treaters! My friend gave out 38 lbs of candy! Now, that's a lot of sweets! FYI: I had NONE! Nadda! However, I did enjoy a variety of "treats"! People made FUN stuff! A pumpkin head w/hummus "vomit" oozing from it's mouth! Guacamole "brains" w/cauliflower, & a spider cheese ball! A prosciutto skull (it was a skull base w/prosciutto wrapped on it to resemble muscle tissue)! There were mice cookies too! And LOTS & LOTS of food & beverage! FUN was had by all!!! Myself included!

Now my plan to get back on track is to eat only POWER FOODS this week! Power foods, of course, are...

-Lean Protein
-Whole grains (includes reduced calorie breads)
-Non fat dairy
-Healthy fats

ALSO, I will...

-Mindful eating
-Portion control! The food scale is my friend!
-Drink the water!

GOT IT! Got it! Alright now, let's git 'er done! I was on target yesterday! I plan to remain on target today! I promise to do my very best! I hope you're all doing well, my friends! I'm doing PILATES & DRUMS ALIVE this morning! And I'm feeling EMPOWERED & STRONG! I've got this!

    I am sure that gain and more will be gone by your weigh-in next week.

    emoticon I understand totally... us long timers just have to get back to basics to get back on track. I'm back and doing my best,,,, not perfect.... but emoticon and we will. Not how fast but that we're learning everyday! emoticon emoticon emoticon

    Way to go Rose we have to be watchful all the time. I am addicted to tracking but not to food. HOWEVER, I am so happy Spark is cleaning up some of the foods in the data base.
I am beginning to think a lot os it is guesswork and change. I add my favourites and some time just for the heck if a label changes or a can size changes.

DRUM ROLL PLEASE---------------So does the Nutritional facts.

What is a Sparker to do ????- Just don't sweat the small stuff.--JUST SWEAT!!!!!

    I love that you have no excuses. You recognized that you were off and got back on track. That's the way to work this lifestyle change. Good jog of staying away from the candy! Your doing great Rosť. I got it!

    It's a never ending cycle but you're getting back to the basics before you have too much damage and that's a good thing!

    Rose, you are so awesome. It's not even a full pound! It's good to take care of ourselves when we are sick! Nothing wrong with that.
Glad you had such a wonderful time at the party! We finally get to trick or treat tomorrow night!

    WTG Rose. I think our bodies sometimes need a rest from all of the "tracking" as long as we get back on track quickly a day here and there won't hurt us. Even in exercise your body still needs days of rest.
