Thanksgiving is coming.... So, we quickly put away Halloween decorations and move on to Thanksgiving preparations. I've always enjoyed planning the feast but any last minute cooking always felt so stressful. I no longer cook a Thanksgiving meal... instead we visit my mother-in-law who is a nursing home patient. The food is not great; but my husband is happy spending time with his Mom. She has Parkinson's Disease. She doesn't really communicate verbally anymore but I know she must be thankful for a loving family. So, that is our Thanksgiving... we're happy & thankful that Mom is still with us.
