I survived the scariest night of the year

Thursday, November 01, 2012

The dreaded Halloween, the scariest night of the year for any dieter! Fortunately we don't get a lot of trickor treaters where we live and Michael doesn't like trick or treating so we had very little candy on hand (just in case we got any little visitors).....but what little was here tormented me all night long!

Went to bed early to avoid it and had hubby dispose of it this morning for I am one of those people that can't stop at one piece, you see I am a sugar/candy/sweets addict and once I start down that road there's no stopping until it's gone.

Phew, glad that's over!

Glad you made it through a candy-oriented holiday. Where we live now there are no trick or treaters because of the isolated location, but back in the day when my son was small we lived in a popular trick or treater area and I only survived because I only bought candy that did not interest me. But even then, all it took was one taste of the second-choice candy and my willpower would evaporate. It's good to know I'm not the only one with this issue, wish I'd had Spark 20 years ago, lol! Anyway, good job sticking to your program!

We haven't bought candy for years and just keep the house dark. Began years ago when we would visit my dad and a few friends that night and now the kids just go to the festival at church the Sunday prior.

glad you survived it!

    Glad to hear you survived.

I am so glad my son has got disinterested in going out and getting candy, because I end up eating it eventually down the road. And like you, there is no stopping once I start.

I live in a neighborhood where there are no small children. No one range my bell. So that is good for me. I didn't buy any candy so I didn't sit down and eat itall
