Okay, so I swiped Halloween candy after we were back from trick-or-treating. Too much. And not enough water. Today is November 1, and I'm back on track for the rest of 2012! I'm finishing the year strong!!! And I sent Dan to work with all the Halloween candy in the trunk of his car. ;)
This morning at the gym I did my ST and noticed that the "guys" section was empty. And it made me realize that when the semester is over, I will have the gym to myself and I'll have several weeks to explore the free weights over there without feeling intimidated or self-conscious. I'm looking forward to that! I can't believe Thanksgiving is only 3 weeks away! That'll be a good time to check it out too, because the kids here get the whole week off and the place will be empty.
I got a free water bottle this morning too! There is a food drive for the local food pantry here, and the college was giving away water bottles at the gym yesterday to anyone who brought a donation. Except they were only there for an hour, and I was in class during that hour! So when I went in there this morning with a donation and asked about getting one, the guy winked at me and took his keys to an undisclosed secret location, and brought out a NICE Camelbak water bottle for me. One side has the school logo, the other side says "Fill. Drink. Repeat." I can do that. ;)
My foot pain is out of control this week, and so today I'm going to wear The Boot. I was talking with a friend last night who was telling me how worthless the dr. is that I went to over the summer, and she switched dr's. and is happier. That's the 2nd person who has told me that in the past 2 months. But I'm mad because I spent $600 on orthotics that my insurance wouldn't cover, and I want my money back!!! But I still owe that dr. $140 in copay money so I can't really go back and complain either! GRRRRR I hate the health care system in this country!!!!!! Foot pain since APRIL. Just ridiculous and unbelievable. Next course of action will be at the end of the semester when I borrow a pair of crutches and STAY OFF IT for at least a month, 6 weeks if I can swing it. I still have some 5K's I want to do, and if I ice/ibuprofen until the end of this semester, I should manage okay. *sigh* :(
I guess that's about all for now. I have another busy day of school ahead. My trig and physics classes are major thorns in my side right now and I need to go early/stay late to get extra help. And did I mention my trig teacher is on maternity leave now and I have only tutors to help get me through the rest of the term? Yeah. How convenient for her. :/ Oh well, have a great day everyone.
