Well, as far as fitness and weigh loss go: October was a bust!
My back finally got better. My knee continued to cause problems, which impacted my fitness routine.
I had my first injection of Euflexxa last week and had a lot of pain that afternoon. But I'd had a couple of painful days prior to it, too. Then I was doing better by the end of the week, only to get worse on Saturday. Sunday was painful, too. Monday in PT they massaged the muscles around my knee that were so tight. I did some exercises then finished with ice. Tuesday I got my second injection, and after telling them how driving bothered my knee, they wrapped an ice pack on the knee and driving home was so much better! I had less pain in the afternoon, too.
Today: the knee is doing well! I'm hoping this lasts and that this means the injections are helping. I have one more next week.
So in November I would like to get back to walking and riding the recumbent bike without upsetting my knee! And when PT ends mid-November, I'm ready to resume my at-home workouts to strengthen my core, which is what we've focused on in PT.
