real scary night

Wednesday, October 31, 2012

And no it has nothing to do with halloween.
Monday eve my MIL was released from the hospital to go into a rehab center to help her recover from her bypass before coming home.
They told us the room would be ready at 5pm, NOT
she had to wait in a wheelchair for 2hrs before the room was ready, that was uncalled for.

After we finally got her settled in her room we went home.... wasn't home long before we got the message that she wasn't responding and they sent her by ambulance to the ER.
We jump back in our clothes and race back up there (the longest 25 miles I've ever seen)
get there and am in shock to see her clothes were covered in blood and had been cut from her.
Found out that they had to give her CPR before the ambulance took her to the hospital.
They got her stable and took her to the critical care unit, we got back home after midnight.

Next day found out that the stupid people at the rehab center had turned her on her side after her telling them NO that the Dr didn't want her to turn on her side for at least 8weeks. It was after that she said she started having breathing problems. Then didn't remember anything else until she woke up in the ER.

She was stable enough to be moved to a room in the cardiac unit the other day. Today they did a procedure to help her breath better ( I won't go into details it would make some squeamish)
I'm glad to say when we left this eve she was breathing better and was even to drink a little tea. She still has a very long way to go and will need lots of care.
So if you don't see me on here much you know why.
Thank all of you for your prayers and please continue them.

Would also like to add we are praying for all those who were effected by that terrible storm.

Prayers for her, and you as well.

I hope you can carve out a little time for yourself to renew and recover (exercise?), so that you can be strong for her as well.

I can't believe that place didn't follow the doctors orders, it could have killed her! I hope things go much better for all of you from here on in.

That is a horrible experience to go through. Sometimes hospitals are the most dangerous places you can be. I'm sure we all have scary stories. I know I do.
I just pray she will be well soon and will be able to come home where people who love her will care for her.
