Sore muscles and outdoor running.

So today during lunch I ran outside rather than on a treadmill...haven't done that since April I think! Definitely not since I started my Sparkpeople journey. It was difficult, not surprisingly. I found it easier to push myself though, even though the fatigue in my legs and the wind resistance made it really difficult. I was tired at the end, but pleased and proud of my body.
Yesterday, I did go home and make chili. While it was cooking I did about 45 min work of strength training, about 9 different exercises. One I did was bridge, and since I haven't really worked my upper body in a while, it was killer. I haven't even done yoga lately, sad to say. Either way, today my shoulders are so sore!!! I know its because I used muscles that were starting to atrophy so it's all good
Since it's Halloween, Lacebot and I are doing Zumba tomorrow. I'm ready!!! Tonight I'm going to go home and relax and recover, maybe watch some TV or read. I passed up a fun outing with friends at a bar tonight, but I knew that at this point I need to stay away from temptation as much as I can.
