I am really glad that I started on the book. I have been so busy with life that I can't seem to get to the Disasterous Dining room! But, the flip side the rest of my house looks good. It has been easy to keep it in good condition. Now I am not saying perfect. We all know that perfect well is attainable only by the wealthy who can afford live in maids. And even then, perfect is dependent on the live in made!
I am the live in maid so my level of perfection is at an 8 out of 10 in total magazine picture perfection! I now have oodles of archery students, after spending 4 hours in the sun running a carnival booth at my kids school. It's our major fall fundraiser. Once people found out that the after school program exists, they came a-runnin'.
All of that to say, this live in maid has some other areas of focus. The Disaterous Dining Room has to be done in November. I have family coming over! That is a great motivator if there ever was one.
For the mean time, I am happy with maintaining my reduced world of chaos/clean! It only takes about 10 minutes to make any given (HTCI cleaned) room back to yea! I spend about 10 minutes taking one room and cleaning the floors and dusting. I do one room a day - two rooms if I feel awesome. It is nice that my kids actually get it! They understand that if they just do a little bit a day, mommy is happy, the world turns smoothly, they get to do more fun stuff.
