So my first bikini in 24 years finally showed up. Woo Hoo! I love the little retro tie on the top, and I think it's very cute. Although, I do wonder if the regular bikini bottoms would have been more flattering than the big old boy shorts that i picked out. I love retro stuff. I have areas I still want to improve (like I want a nice defined six pack, and I working on it), but 182 pounds down thus far, and I don't believe things are looking too bad.
I still find it hard to explain to people the kind of change that happens when you drop that kind of weight. It clearly is life changing down to the core. i have always had a belly.
It's odd to look down and have it be so flat now.
because my tummy was huge before!
As a little kid, the teenagers at my church would always say "Tiny Weeny Jeannie Beanie in her yellow polka dot bikini" whenever I was around. As a kid I would sport the bikini, but my little tummy always popped out. Jeannie was never teeny weeny. :( I avoided wearing a swimsuit in public for years. On my honeymoon, in Hawaii, I only put the suit on twice, and both times were when everyone was at the hotel luau and the pool was empty. That is no way to live. That is no fun. It's easier to enjoy life when you feel comfortable in your own skin.... so tomorrow after a little cardio... another 200 crunches.... I am going to get that six pack I always wanted. Next stop, bikini romping... I am eventually going to wear this thing proudly to the beach, and when there is a pool, I will be swimming.
...but now I am going to sleep... good night
