Ok.. so I lost 18 pounds with the lifestyle changed and have maintained it! I know with some exercise, more will melt off.
Yesterday was the start of a new week, so, what better time to start? My sister bought me a jump rope. Even after I spent the last month making excuses as to why jump-roping wouldn't work for me. I have bad knees, a bad back, and thanks to my little 3yo.... a weak bladder.
Well, she didn't listen and bought me one anyway.
Monday, I jump-roped. I had texted her asking if I should count minutes or jumps. She didn't respond, so I decided minutes. I managed 15 minutes! May not seem like a lot.. But, it was a start. And, I sweated! Wait, is that a sword? Oh well.. And, I had to change my pants! LOL! I know, TMI!
She finally texted me back and said to start with 3 reps of 30... Ha!! I did more than that! she also assured my that the bladder will get better with time. I'm not sure she realizes the full impact on a body having a baby does to you. Fingers crossed it does get better.
So, now, for the morning after.. My knees hurt, my ankle is sore, back hurts a little and I have shared with so many people how I peed my pants during jump roping, because, I figure I might as well laugh about it! Oh, I did squeeze in an additional 10 minutes of leisurely bike riding while my little one rode her tricycle around the neighborhood. :)
Now, maybe I will do some yoga when I get home to stretch all this out and to keep on the movement train. Wooo woooo
