It's grey and bleak and rainy in the aftermath of Sandy. We were very fortunate in my town (Chambersburg, PA) and escaped with some flooding and power outages. I know that some people had to evacuate their homes and there are still closed roads and downed trees, but it could have been much, much worse. I am expecting that schools will reopen tomorrow, as long as there is power.
I took advantage of having another day off, got my butt in gear, and worked out. YAY!!! I was full of excuses, why I couldn't do it, but ended up telling myself to shut up and get my sneakers on. I wanted to walk outside, but the wind is still gusting and I didn't want to risk getting nailed by a falling branch, so I did a Leslie Sansone mile and then a Coach Nicole upper body strength training video with a resistance band. My foot was bothering me a little during the cardio; I am going to have to break down and get some better sneakers. It was 22 total minutes of exercise, which is not a tremendous amount, but the great thing is that I DID IT.
