I am drowning in work, but I haven't missed a workout. In a month. Today I'm declaring a rest day for myself, because frankly, I'm exhausted, my stomach feels sick, and I've been doing too much. It's like when you are running too fast and you are sucking wind, so you slow down your pace to get your breathing back. That's what I'm doing today, although I'm thinking about walking to school. An active rest day. :)
My food yesterday was really good, and I'm having a good start today too, so I'm back on the wagon for sure. I weighed this morning and I'm up 5 lbs. from last Thursday! I know that can't be right though, completely impossible to gain that much in 4 days. So I'm just staying calm and also staying off the scale until next week, because getting on the scale will just upset me. One of my friends on fb mentioned that I might still be dehydrated from the 5K over the weekend, and that may be true...but I do not usually drink for runs that short until I'm done. She may have a point though.
Last night I took a Tylenol PM and went straight to bed, and I slept all night. I remember my husband turning the light off but I don't even remember him crawling into bed! I was out that fast. I can't wait for this semester to be over because I'm seriously wiped out.
I packed a good lunch for myself yesterday. Husband got pears at Aldi over the weekend and they are really fresh! They are crispy like apples and so good. I had one of those, a bunch of cucumber slices, a yogurt, and a sandwich. I'm not a big fan of yogurt, but at least I can tolerate it now. I had the key lime one, and it was good. I should've brought some graham cracker crumbs to sprinkle on it! Ahh, it's the little things. ;)
