Insanity - Day One - Again

Monday, October 29, 2012

If I’d had the energy, I’d have taken a chill pill. They do make them, don’t they? Seriously, I refuse to suck. I deny it a place in my life. It is just gonna take more effort to keep it away than I had expected. I don’t suck. I don’t suck. I don’t suck. Gonna fake it til I make it.

One problem with repeatedly restarting Insanity is the Fit Test is always day one. I substituted Pure Cardio for today’s workout. I know all you Insanity pros are laughing – and you are right to do so. I moved Joshs desk to a far corner, plugged the dvd into his Playstation, but did not like the way the sound kept breaking up, (doesn’t do that once warmed up) so I connected my laptop and proceeded to get my butt whupped. I am sure I did more gasping for air and clutching my sides than doing actual exercise, but I did attempt each minute long segment – even if it wasn’t the entire minute.

In the time between starting the warmup and when I resumed after connecting my laptop, my knees had warmed up a LOT. Lesson learned. I know many workouts did not happen because I feared for my knees – continuing was exactly what I needed to do.

I take great pride in being a P90X grad, even tho it has been over a year. I never made it through the entire thing in the beginning, but over time I got stronger. I am embracing that experience as I do these crazy workouts. With the next dvd, which is Plyo Cardio Circuit, I will pace myself as I did with Ab Ripper X. I just want to be able to complete each workout entirely by the end of my 60 days.

Insanity Graduates, is this doable?
