This week I am on vacation so I decided to catch up on dissertation work and exercise; I took my planner and started writing reading/cardio/writing/swimmin
g/ST and... yawn. my usual routine did not appeal to me.
So I put my pen down and figured I'd find something else. That something else came as someone.
A friend of mine who doesn't ever excercise asked me to go to the baby swimmers with her. I played with her toddler and did water aerobics moves meanwhile. My friend actually did the same and said she'd like to do more activities, not running or anything like that but maybe dancing or something fun. She's always admired that fact that I was so active but felt overwhelmed at the idea of doing as much as me.
She just had a second baby and rarely leaves the house and she is getting really sick of that, she is very skinny too so I think she was scared she'd be even skinnier if she exercised a lot (she lost ALL the baby weight the minute she gave birth, she only has a pouch showing that there was a baby in there just two months ago). So we planned a couple fun dates including dancing lessons, go kart, visiting a vineyard, bowling.
Light bulb moment!
I realized that although I LOVE walking and swimming I do get tired of it.
SO this week my challenge is to get up and do something active for an hour or two but not in one shot, I'll divide it in four sequences so I am more active througout the day.
I am not weighing myself but I have a pair of pants that are too tight and a ring. will do.
I am resuming tracking my food which should also help.
I am really excited at the idea and what effect it will have on my body. I am also psyched that my firend is finally taking me time and I get to introduce her to a fun active lifestyle.
