13 Update On Nephew Kidney Stone Surgery 10/10/2012 And The Complications He Is Going Thur.

Sunday, October 28, 2012

Steve had more pain on Wednesday so they went back to the ER for some Pain Meds to help with the Pain. He stayed home as long as he could. Could not handle the Pain anymore. They said the Pieces that the Doctor blasted in surgery are trying to pass. They sent them back home. So back to the Doctor on Thursday. The Doctor did an Ultrasound on the Kidney and it is Not Block which is Good. But He has to go thur this until the Pieces of the Kidney Stones Pass. Not Good. But hopefully will be done soon. So Bad. Thank You All So Very Very Much for All Your Good Thoughts and Prayers. They Mean So Much to Steve, his Wife DarStar and Family. I will Update this when more information on his Condition is available. Thank You Again. God Bless You All. Love and Hugs to All. So please continue to Pray for Him.

Sorry to hear he is having more problems. When I had stones, they blasted them once and it all went away. (thank goodness) I can't even imagine having further trouble with them after they got blasted once!
I hope they get this under control to prevent further suffering.

Sorry your nephew is having such pain. I had a homeopathic Doc told me to squeeze 1/2 lemon in water 3 times a day and if I would use stevia just make it a nice lemonade. Not to eat or drink any other citrus. When I asked why, he told me disease cannot live in an alkaline system and lemon is the only citrus that will help to make your body alkaline. An acidic body feeds any disease and multiples pain. emoticon

Hope your nephew is feeling better soon! Lots of water, obviously. And Kris had wise advice -- find out what the stones are composed of so that the diet can be altered to prevent further stone formation!

HUGS and prayers (of course).

I sympathize with your Nephew. My husband has had 2 lots of surgeries and 1 Lithotripsy. Each time the Kidney Stones were huge - 2 of them nearly an inch in diameter. No WONDER he couldn't pass any :-( The last lot of removal was the Lithotripsy - the largest of the stones. He had really bad reactions to that and had to be rushed back to hospital. Everything that they told us that could happen, but was so rare that they don't like mentioning it, but have to because of legal requirements, happened.

He was a very frequent K.Stone former. The Hospital wouldn't analyze the first lot of stones but they gave them to hubby, so when he developed the second lot, 4 months later, I sent the first lot to my brother to analyze. He had a very high up job in the hospital Laboratory - teaching/hiring/firing. Sometimes it pays to know people in certain places - LOL! The results came back with what the stones were comprised of, and suddenly the hospital was interest. He was told to have Lemon Juice daily, (NOT other citric juices) and he is now also on 2 medications to help prevent them forming again - he hasn't had any more stones since =- a number of years. The other thing that might be worth looking at is his dairy intake. Hubby consumed a HUGE amount - he was totally overdosing on milk and cheese in particular and that is a huge amount of calcium.
