Tracking is the Key

Saturday, October 27, 2012

I'm not doing very well right now with 'my program'. But I do know what the problem is - now I just need to fix it!

It's TRACKING MY FOOD. Even when I'm eating things that I shouldn't, when I track my food, I'm AWARE. It helps me to do better the next day or change my meals around so that I have a 'lighter' dinner to compensate for a higher calorie lunch. But when I don't track, I don't REALLY know how bad I've been and I don't KNOW to make adjustments.

I don't know why I'm having such a hard time with it. Part of it is the fact that I'm traveling but I still find time to touch base on Sparks every day. I just need to get over to that tracking page and JUST DO IT!

So - DAY 1 starts again! I tracked my food yesterday and I will do it again today. One day at a time!

Gracie, emoticon ! Tracking has been very important to me too - and I agree with what others have said about it helping them change what they did wrong one day on the next day. There's just something about having to write it down that makes you realize you can't reach those big goals without making those smaller choices!

Completely agree with tracking being key -- although I'm a bit off track this week myself. But I've found in the past when I track EVErytHING, even the not so healthy choices, it helps me get back on track faster.

Absolutely! I'd never be able to do what I've done without tracking EVERYTHING. I often track leave myself a few options when I'm going to be out and about for several hours.

I'm just finding out that tracking does tend to help. So I'll try harder and you can do it too grace. Yep, one day at a time.

You can do it Grace! I agree that tracking your food is key! I also need to just do it! I know what I have to do, but I don't always choose to do it! emoticon

I've learned that lesson too. If I track EVERYTHING, including my sneaky foods, then I turn around the next day and fix it! Thanks for reminding us of this fact! emoticon emoticon

I have a tendency to track in my head, but there is nothing like seeing it in black letters on a white background. Keep going.
