Cooky Recipe Number 16: Chocolate Refrigerator Cookies and some gluten free vegan treats

Saturday, October 27, 2012

I made these cookies with some coffee extract to make them mocha. I only baked about half the dough and put the second log into the freezer so we can have cookies anytime.

I was on Facebook yesterday and So Delicious had this whole wheat pumpkin chocolate chip recipe posted. I decided to try the gluten free option so that my brother's girlfriend could enjoy some, too.

I did some runner's yoga this morning and will be heading out for a bike ride with my husband, brother and his girlfriend soon. Then we'll be going out for brunch and sampling the tasty cookies.
Looking forward to a "long run" tomorrow with a friend I met at the Galloway retreat in January.

Looks tasty and YEAH for your long run with a friend, they always seem to go by so much faster and smoother when you have a running buddy.

Yummy!!!!! I bet they tasted oh so good!

How was the long run with your friend? How are you feeling? How is your body doing?

You will have to let me know if Jeff Galloway has another retreat (though hope he can handle beginners!) emoticon

How were they? You know the chocolate refrigerator ones caught me eye, so I googled the recipe. Cake flour? and frosting? Same recipe?

Funny because my friend and I were just discussing our shared cookie baking craziness over the holidays. This looks like it could be a good addition, or are they cake-like?

A Galloway retreat?? That sounds wonderful. I may have to check that out.

When it comes to the cookies, just don't know how you do it. I've made angel food, pineapple upside cake, banana pudding, and lots of other desserts and managed to eat sensibly or totally resist. But cookies! That is one thing that I don't think I've ever made and managed to eat a sensible portion. I deeply respect that you can do it!! -Marsha

how come nobody ever adds chocolate chips to pumpkin pie, sounds like a great coupling
are the chocolate cookies coated with a thin chocolate icing?

I love it that you spell cooky with a y. I don't know why, maybe because it goes with your positive attitude and all the yays you send to everyone

I'm glad you still have bikeable weather. It's pretty dismal here. I am considering rain gear....

So yummy looking, even to someone who isn't a big cookie eater! So nice to hear that you will have company tomorrow for your run. How far are you going?

Have fun on your run tomorrow! Hoping I don't get rained on AGAIN shortly.

The mocha doesn't work for me, but the pumpkin chocolate chip ones look yummy.
