I got the new bodymedia and I love it. It works great with my phone so as I'm working out I can see my progress. I really love how it also measures your effective sleep.
I've been training for the last couple months for the dino dash cycling event I'm doing next week (Nov 4th). I finally have gotten my groove on the bike. My sweet husband has been so supportive of this fit journey. We bought two really nice used road bikes for the event. We try to ride to the beach and back a couple days a week which is about 40 miles, but it's not an overly hilly terrain- so I'm not sure how it will compare to the actual event- but I know I'll be better off with getting these rides under my belt.
As far as weightloss- it's been a real pain to loose any weight. I'm not sure what's going on with my body, but according to the bodymedia- I've had a deficit every day and with my nutrition I usually over estimate my calories to make sure I don't underestimate it. It's been a constant yoyoing. Anyhow- I'm not going to put too much focus on the scale. I do feel so much better with the exercise- and I know that my stamina has gotten up since my muscles don't ache too much from the ride( my bum and my hands still do though lol)
I think One of my issues is salt so I cut that down dramatically this week- and I did wind up loosing a couple pounds and went back to my low weight- hopefully I'll muttle past that and get down to the 230's which have been eluding me forever!
I had my first crash early this week. I crashed into my sweet husband who stopped in front of me lol. He didn't get hurt- I just nipped his tire. I skinned my knee- but luckily my pants did the skinning and not the asphalt. I don't think I've skinned my knee since I was a kid. I guess this means I'm being more active.
Anyways I'm getting back on the bike today! and I'm looking forward to the oncoming event! I hope you all are doing well on your journey!
