Carnegie Hall

Saturday, October 27, 2012

There's one side of my family that is very musically talented. They have it in their blood. My cousin teaches music and has been given the opportunity to take 25 students to Carnegie Hall to perform in a Christmas musical with Jane Seymore.

She has wanted one of my blankets so this gave me the perfect chance to make the one I had been thinking about doing since seeing this pattern. I wasn't sure it would be bright enough with the black background, but those colors of the notes are enough with the gold backing. Black and gold were our high school colors and so the theme was perfect. I really like the way this one turned out too.

That is beautiful ~ you are very talented as well. My DH's aunt knitted him a scarf with piano keys for Xmas one year. I do not have any sewing talent, but I certainly admire those who do.
