I went to a Good Form Running Clinic (it's sponsored by New Balance so it's free) last night and really enjoyed it. The two instructors were very nice and gave helpful information. I'm hoping I can put it all in to practice.
#1 Posture (putting hands in air first helps "reset" your posture)
#3 Cadence (3 steps/second)
#4 Lean (at the ankle)
Keep your elbows close to your body and bring the elbows up to chest level at the front and 90 degrees at the back. Hold your head steady, with your chin SLIGHTLY down, and your eyes focused about 10 to 20 feet ahead of you.
I think that's everything. Jeff and Amy, the instructors, were very good and non-judgemental. They recorded each person running to analyze each one of us. They gave criticism without being condescending or mean. They also let us know what we did well. I'm really glad I went.
