30 pounds is the magic number

So I've been walking around feeling thinner, with looser clothes, for a couple months now. But no one really said anything. I was a bit disappointed I must say. I mean, hey, I look much better don't I? If I told people I lost weight they would say "yeah, I thought you looked thinner" or "oh yeah, you look really good". But I didn't get the comment unless we were talking about dieting. Then yesterday.......a woman at worked called to me to make me stop in the hallway and said "you look really good. I can tell you've really lost weight. How are you doing it?" HE HE HE! I wanted to hug her and kiss her and tell her she completely made my day! I guess it takes about 30 pounds, or about 13% of your body weight for people to really notice.
On a related topic: I went to the amusement park for Halloween last weekend with JeffAllen and my teenage daughter and her friend. We were waiting to go in and I said that I was happy I lost weight so it would be easier to walk around, run away from monsters, and get on the rides. My little darling said "Yeah Mom, I can really notice a big difference now. I'm really proud of you." I had to kiss her and thank her for being so sweet!
