Life's just peachy sometimes..

Thursday, October 25, 2012

This is just a little cranky blog.

I am in this whole student teaching role for my Master's. I love teaching nursing. That's the great thing.

Here's the bummer...

Trying to conceive when you're also teaching contraception, fertility drugs, post-partum medications, etc, because then you really feel like you're always talking about pregnancy in some form or another and it is further perpetuating my obsession with becoming a mommy.

Ack.

And all I wanted to scream while teaching this group of 40 students on oral birth control was "Don't think it's so easy to get pregnant after you quit it!" and like "Oh and then when you want to get pregnant it's so much harder to do so than it seems if you're trying not to".

I didn't though, go me.

Let's hope for November? Starting to get to the point where we'll be looking at a closer to fall baby...but also looking at a very preggers Lissa in the summer months. Oh, it will be worth it...

Almost finished with the amount of hours needed for the internship, which is great, except for the fact that it swallowed almost my whole vacation in slamming through some hours. Such is a peachy life.

Hope if you're so gracious as to be reading this, that you're doing well!

I know exactly what you mean about the b/c. I was on it for 14 years and it took every bit of 8 months to get out of my system and for things to get back to normal again. I seriously believe that was the majority of the problem. Being on it that long caused all kind of problems with my body and it took a very long time for my body to bounce back. Nobody ever told me all those side effects and stuff when I went on it years ago. I was kind of under the impression it was the only option and it was safe and that when you stop its done... buts so not the case. I doubt I'll ever go back on.

I know there are no magic words to make you feel better and the last thing you want to hear is are all those "saying" that everyone says (believe me, I've heard them all)... the best advice I can give you is keep you head up and keep trying but don't let it consume everything.

It will happen when you least expect it. I was trying for a long time and then when I wasn't focused it happened.
Be patient!
