1605 calories

I'm thinking 7 meals is what I'm going to be averaging this week :-P I only had meat once today, and I had 100+ grams of protein. My goal is between 75 and 200 (yeah, pretty broad.) I'm working on my 14th cup of water also. This eating thing was a little easier today (although one span did go 2:30 hours). It's easier also because I still eat a meal at dinner. Today it was 530 calories, yesterday it was around 400ish(?). With everything else spread out it's a little more do able. It's also easier to just eat one egg, knowing I'll be eating again in just an hour and a half (I'm picky :-P)

My grandparents are very anxious about getting food "out of the way". I made muffins on Sunday, and there's one left. Eat the muffin with dinner, they said, eat the biscuit, they said, eat the green beans, they said. It's not making this small meal thing go very easy. The muffin is 400 calories (I used a bigger 6 muffin tin rather than a smaller 12 muffin tin), so I'm definitley halving it. Definitely a mindset that I'm noticing I used to eat by as well. Their methods don't help people forget the fridge when it's not grazing time :-P

I did my strength training today. Column 3 for my week 1 knee push ups were difficult, but it was much better than week 4 day 1! Some of my sets were still under 10. The squats and crunches were fine as always. I think since I started over I'm feeling a little better about strength training again. I also added One Arm Rows, Romanian Dead Lifts and Bicep Curls with weights to make sure I'm getting some strength training with actual weights instead of just body weight. That may help. :-P

Tomorrow I turn in an application at a pizza place. I think it's been a little contrived to give me a better chance at the position, but I don't think they start operating until 2pm, so I can still be a night owl, but I may need to start running earlier. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. When I worked at Baskin Robbins one summer I had a scoop of ice cream every work day, and I still lost weight. Hopefully this happens at the pizza place. :-P (if I get it.)

There are some people that can run 16 minute 5ks. I'll let that sink in as my final topic tonight. :-P

I grew up with people that love with food. I shouldn't complain that I was loved, buuuuuttttt (yes, I made that a big butt for a reason)

As for the 16 minute 5k. I know a few of those people. Along with ones that do the Ironman/Ironwoman to place. Not to finish, but to place.
Sadly, I can't hate them since they are also my biggest supporters in my races. And when I say "races" I mean that I walk.

a 16 minute 5K?????? I would never even attempt such a thing!!!!! Maybe you can make your own special pizza...like a super thin crust, blot most the grease from your meat, load up on veggies and have just a light sprinkle of cheese...mmmm....now you've got me wanting homemade pizza, gonna have to put it on next week's menu :) Bless them, your grandparents mean well...they just don't understand....glad you are staying strong Hal :)

My Gran was always the same way. "Eat more, finish this off, do you want seconds?" and I spent my entire life up until August watching my dad eat seconds and thirds of everything, then have Tastykakes for dessert. Or ice cream. Just keep resisting! They may not ever 'get it' but it's not your job to change them, only yourself!

Your grandparents grew up when "the clean plate club" was the thing to do. Forgive them and move on. They can't help it, and it's hard for them to change. Plus, they love you. A Pizza place?? omg...well, at least you can see how they make it, get them to consider making a whole wheat crust...there's got to be other healtheir folk out there around you!
