Sorry I haven't been around the last couple of days. I was so busy. Saturday a bunch of us from the congregation drove up to Ione, WA to go for a train ride and see the beautiful Fall colors. It turned out to be very good weather wise, even though there was a threat of rain. we managed to not have one drop hit us while we were up there. Our adventure started at 6:45 when I met up with my group and we drove 3 hours to get there. Many of the friends wanted to go in the warm cars that were enclosed, but not me...no sirree. I wanted to ride in an open car, so I could get lots of neat pictures. Eventually I won over almost everyone from our congregation, and we ended up having so much fun. In fact almost everyone in our car was a witness. It was very refreshing for me. I kept telling everyone that I was born outdoors, so I loved the cool weather. We ended up meeting a sister from another congregation, and her husband. They knew one of our brothers, who has just recently moved here. They were in our car too. There was not a sad face in our car. Once the ride was over we had our lunch there at the depot, and headed back home. I was floating I was so happy.
The sad reality is that I don't get many days like this. I had to come home eventually and go back to my current existence. It makes me want to be in that New World even more, so that all my days can be happy ones.
Here are some of the pictures.
This is the couple who I rode up with. Our driver will be coming up.
Look at these happy faces.
Nothing could have wiped the smile off Brenda's face.
My congregation grandbabies. I have no biological ones. :)
These two opted to ride in the warm car.
Running to catch the train.
Look at that view.
Blue skies smiling at me.
We found the perfect home for Mike, a new move in to our congregation.
I thought he might prefer this one instead. :)
See, More smiles!!!
She rode in the warm car. :(
Our new brother, Mike, with the friends from another congregation near Spokane. Mike is on the right.
Not sure what he did, but she's telling him about it. :)
Another shot of my riding partners.
And finally me. :)
Best day ever.
