Half way Hash out

These are the goals I set down in a blog on 17 September. As it's half way through BLC20 time to revisit and hash out what I planned to do and what I have done and what to continue on with!

1. MIND~~I see this as the main focus of my plan. Keeping positive and well focused will mean keeping my mind in the right place. I will do this by:
a. read- finish "Live Fit and Be Well", read The Fire Starter Sessions DONE!, currently reading THe Fire Starter Sessions
b. podcasts- listen weekly to No Excuses Workouts, Marathon Training Academy DONE, I listen to the No Ex Workouts while at gym and the MTA while on runs.
c. people- connect with all three of my children each week through phone or emails.
log into SPARK each day and read at least one blog and comment on it. NEEDS WORK, I'm not connecting each week with all three of my kids, but keeping tabs with my daughter more...than the boys. WOrking on this! Reading more blogs than before but not on recently as much due to family issues.
2. BODY~taking care of my body will ensure I take care of my health and that is imperative
a. eat within my calorie range with whole, clean and healthy foods
b. train according to my plan for marathons #11 and 12 MARATHON 11 DONE!
c. get at least 7 hours of sleep 6 days a week Still working on this!!
d. drink at least 8 glasses of water per day NO PROBLEM with the water
e. limit time-wasting activities so I can concentrate on what is most important during my day. BEtter time management is a work in progress
3. SOUL/SPIRIT
a. reward my hard efforts with a personal me time reward each week I DO THIS
b. do relaxing techniques each day (breathing, yoga, extra rest) I Seem to forget this one
c. enjoy my hobby of cross stitching by completing at least 3 Christmas gifts. ALMOST DONE WITH FIRST ONE....need to up my pace!!
4. BE OPEN (Keep reminding myself of this
a. listen to others
b. remain curious (there are no failures..just opportunities to learn)
d. food/recipes
5. REWARDS
The most important reward for me will be to be a healthier, fitter, more stamina filled runner who can continue to stay off of her high blood pressure medicine and complete the Preston Guild Race Series with the last race 18 November, one week before my 61 birthday!!! (I'm on target with this.....race 3 is this weekend!!)

I can see that I'm a work in process and progress. It's not about perfection as I will never be perfect.. It's about moving and doing the best I can each day that I can.
All I have to do is look at a picture of me from 10 years ago and I don't know who that woman is!! My life is healthier, and I am happier than I used to be. I'm pleased with where I am and where I am going!
