first day back to SP

Monday, October 22, 2012

Hi friends, today is the first day I am back to SP after nearly 3 weeks. Had a total hip replacement on Oct 4th, stayed in hospital for 3 nights and since home and do exactly what my surgeon told me to do. More or less nothing for the time being. Still, I feel like a newborn person, can't believe I am painfree. After all the years in agony. Still using crutches, so started to do some arm or upper body exercises. Well some where I don't move my lower body - not yet. I am not allowed to do bending twisting all these sort of movements. I guess I gained also some pounds since I am not moving very much and then on top I wonder how much I can add for the new hip? Never mind I am painfree, it seems even my brain is more alert.
So today I am adding 5 minutes on my workout. How is that?

Well done, I hope you continue to make good progress. I'm sure you know not to rush things, eat well and let your body heal, any pounds will quickly shift as you get more active again. Now you're pain free, I bet you will be more active than before too. What things are you looking forward to getting back to?
