Rainy Day Hike & Today's Fitbit Stats

Monday, October 22, 2012

Yes, it does rain in California.
Extremely wet and extremely cold hike today.

The beginning

The middle

The end

My knees did not like the downhill on the slippery trails. I guess you step much differently when it's slippery and that was extremely hard on my knees.

Look at my fitbit stats! Cool, huh?
34851 steps taken today
509 floors climbed today
17 miles traveled today
2938 calories burned
2210 active score

Great hike either way. Downhill is always murder on my knees. I'm battling a knee annoyance right now and I'm about 90% certain it happened walking down a mountain path. I feel your pain. lol.

Wow great stats. Be don't want to break a leg on the way down. At least it cleared before you reached the end. lol.

Great hiking! I find that using a walking pole is great for going downhill and takes some of the pressure from the knees. It's especially good when it's wet as it gives some stability. Nóirín
