Indian Buffet Lunch on Saturday

Sunday, October 21, 2012

That was truly my only plate and I did not even have any naan.
Today I did an 11.2 (Runkeeper) or 11.1 (Garmin...I think it didn't get the satellite right away) run today. It was walking for the first 5 miles and then running the rest of the way. With the cool down, I logged 11.39/11.29 miles. Only a couple of twinges in my wonky foot (at about 10 miles). Both feet are a little tired and slightly sore now but I think it's because they haven't this kind of workout for quite some time.
Yes, Catherine, I will foam roll my legs this evening but I am wearing compression socks right now.
We are going out with my in-laws for my mother-in-law's birthday in a few minutes. I'm going to enjoy some pasta :-)

I think I've only had Indian food once. I might have to try it again. Your plate looks really good.

Sounds to me like you're going to be ready! Perfectly natural to be sore after a long run. Hope you enjoyed that pasta! Sushi before & bagel & lox after are working for me right now.

My question is when did you eat that plateful, Nat? I'm guessing it was after your run!
Great job on your run!

You got a pretty nice variety. Well done only getting one plate and skipping the naan.
I have to say I'm relieved about your foot not feeling wonky until the end. I hope that's as good of a sign as I think it is.
I hope you're having a nice time with the in-laws. Do enjoy that well deserved pasta.
Thanks for the Yay's! I really thought Jennifer would cry but she was easy going about it.
I'm totally excited about doing 3-4 days each week of HIIT instead of 2. One of my gym mates also keeps telling me I'd love spinning, but they only offter classes during my commute times, so I'm pretty stoked about that too.
Have a great week!

Plate looks good and moderate, especially for someone who has been as active as you. Congrats on all that running! Hope it keeps feeling good and that "wonky foot" goes ahead and straightens up!! Take care and thanks for sharing your meal and day!!

I exhaled with relief that it wasn't something cookie-ish. Just a delish meal. I can handle that. (smiling) Have a good day.
