We are halfway through with BLC 20 and I'm re-assessing my goals and checking my progress. So far I have managed to maintain my weight but I would really like to drop a couple of extra pounds. I call those my cushion pounds! Here is my update:
I am still struggling with eating the right portion size and limiting the junk food. I know exactly what I'm doing (which I need to STOP). I'm at my goal weight so the urgency is not as strong to watch my food intake. My body does not feel as good eating the junk and I need to make a change.
I'm actually doing ok with exercising. I'm not working out in the mornings as much as I anticipated but it's worked out OK with the evening exercising. I have stepped up my intensity but I'm having to walk a lot more since my knee is acting up and not cooperating. I may be visiting the orthopedic again soon. I know what he'll say and I'm just not ready for any surgery! I'm doing low impact but high intensity (usually the spin bike and lots of ST)
1) Track every bite I take and plan my food every day. I will flee from temptation and throw away anything in the house that is causing me to slip up.
2) I will plan my daily workouts in advance so I know exactly what I'll be doing. I tend to waste time trying to decide if I want to hit the spin bike, the treadmill or a DVD.
3) I'm adding a new one - I am going to badger my DH until he agrees to start exercising a little bit with me. He really needs to and I think it will be fun and I'll have extra motivation!!!
