I accidentally went all day yesterday without eating. Headed home around 5pm, sick to my stomach starving and a headache, but I was going to be good. NO eating out. NO spending money. I'm going home to cook a nice, healthy meal. And then... this is what awaited me:

I actually had to park in the library parking lot and walk to my apartment complex, because it was all blocked off. For those not wanting to follow the link: A semi truck pulling a top-loader (looks like a huge tractor to me) caught the top loader on the electric lines, snapped them, broke the electric pole off at the ground (fell across the street onto the semi, but no damage done to any property or people--other than maybe the truck that caused the damage), and took out the transformers. Oh: and the cable... the cable lines were broke in the mess too.

However: 1 block away, Pizza Rita still had electricity, so... I spent money and ate out. I did, however, share half my pizza with neighbors.

The electricity was still out at 2am. Not sure what time it came back on because I went and stayed the night at a friend's house and was away from home till 11pm tonight.

Just remembered... I have to see what's still good in my fridge and freezer. Hope it's all fine.
