2-month update

I can't believe it's been 2 months since I started working out with Justin, my personal trainer at Rawman Fitness! Not only has it been 2 months of training but 2 months of low-carb dieting. Well...sort of. Even though I cheated a little here and there, I still managed to lose 15 lbs and ~4% body fat! I guess if I stuck to my diet 100% I'd be close to 20lbs lost in 2 months. I'm excited though and more than happy with my progress.

After about 5 weeks, I really got sick of eating the same thing every day. I love food. I miss it! And I was having the worst chocolate cravings. That was the start of it all. At night I would have 2-3 dark chocolate covered almonds from Trader Joe's. I'm not a fan of dark chocolate, but that was exactly what I needed to satisfy my sweet tooth.

Then a week or so later, I really wanted t glass of wine. So I had 2...then a lemoncello martinin. I was starting to fall off the wagon. But I kept getting back on which made me feel empowered and strong.

I'm not perfect every day, but I know how to control my cravings and get back on the wagon. I think it's a perfectly healty way to live, especially since I know I won't be able to live carb free forever. But I honestly think I can cut way way back on the carbs. I don't have to have bread, pasta or rice every single day. Once a week would be enough for me. I actually had Mongolian BBQ this week, including the noodles, and I still managed to lose 2.2 lbs. This plan can work. I know Justin won't be a fan of it, but I'll have to discuss this with him so maybe he'll adjust my diet. I really need to convic him. It'll be so much better if he knew I was planning on eating carbs rather than having to confess it to him.

I also wanted to share a couple pics of my oldest, Cameron, working out with me. My husband is out of town this week, so I took the week off work to take care of the kids. Justin is open to having the kids in the gym (he has one on the way) so it was easy having both of them there. Graham was easy, he just stayed in his bucket (he's only 8 months old) and Cameron had a blast exercising! I think Justin liked having them there too, he was great with the boys.
