It's a beautiful fall, y'all!

Hi Sparkies! It's been two months since I posted a blog. *hanging head in shame*. It is gorgeous in north central PA right now. Unbelievable colors of fall. I'm so thankful for the beauty where we live. The fog in the mountain valleys, with flaming orange and red all around. . .purple hills in the distance. . . just lovely. DH and I went hiking last weekend at World's End State Park. So much natural beauty I just want to hold on to it forever.
Well gotta tell you I am still reading and sparking; just crazy busy now that teaching has started. No good excuses. . .hugs to you all. I'm teaching 16 credits of Spanish, taking 4 credits of advanced French, and staying on track with exercise (2000-2500 calories burned a week). I am biking maybe 25 miles a week and swimming at least 4000 meters (80 laps twice a week). Yes I finally got up my nerve to go to the college pool. . . it's so nice. . .had to get over the random student of mine seeing me in a swimsuit. . .I take off my glasses, put on a swim cap and goggles, and then since I can't see them I'm good!) I am also walking the dog a few miles a week (not too many) and doing an occasional Spark DVD workout with my BFF Coach Nicole. So there's my little accountability check. I'm loving the exercise and the fitness that comes with it. It's truly a new life for me.
The diet? Well hmm. I knew I would have trouble when school started. I need to cut back a it; I haven't lost more than 2 lbs in 2 months, but as I'm within normal range and want to lose slowly I'm kinda OK with that. 145 would be awesome. . .but that's still 12 lbs away. Seems harder now! At least I'm not gaining. It's hard to believe that last Jan 1 I was . . . gulp. . . almost 40 lbs heavier. Yay Sparkpeople! Thank you Lord! I think I may have to track my food and exercise forever to keep on track.
Time to grade Spanish paragraphs (bleh) and then make Pernil (mmmm!) for a big dinner tomorrow after church for 10 well-loved visiting family members. Well, 2 sons, a DIL, a girlfriend, my DDIL's parents and brother and his girlfriend, hubby and me--oh--and my beautiful unborn granddaughter, who has 4 weeks to go! All are camping at Worlds End State Park or visiting on college break :) :).
Besos y abrazos a todos!
