This morning I ran 3 miles, and my foot is on fire! :( I'm icing it now, and I'll probably wear the boot for the rest of the day because it's also laundry day and I have a lot of trips up and down the stairs to make.
My husband and daughter are in Indianapolis today for the big Bands of America competition. The kids have worked really hard and they have a great show! I can see why kids who do marching band can get a free ticket out of PE. Here's a link to our daughter's band's halftime show:
Dan is on the parent pit crew, so he will burn calories moving equipment on and off the field, too. He wasn't too cool about signing up for this job, but it is growing on him now that he's done it for a few competitions and football games. There has to be more than going to work and coming home every day for him, right? :)
Today I have no plans except to get a lot of laundry done and work on a couple of assignments that are due next week. And maybe take my kids to Haunted Trail tonight. The town here takes a part of the bike trail and decorates it for Halloween, and the kids can come and get their faces painted and stuff. It is one of our favorite events of the year since we moved here.
My food is going to be good this weekend. With Dan out of town, I don't have to make a big dinner, and my 7th grader is good at making good healthy foods. She wants to go to culinary school someday and it shows; she makes some really good stuff. I'd love to send her to Cincinnati to meet Chef Meg! :) Anyway, I'm thinking some kind of broccoli and cheese soup and some bread in the bread machine would be a great dinner tonight.
That's about all for now. Back to my foot. Have a great weekend. :)
