An offer I couldn't refuse

Friday, October 19, 2012

I took my granddaughter with me while I went to town to buy some totes that were on sale. After I purchased them, she asked me if we could go out to eat. I told her no because I really did not have the money to spend. She said, "I''ll pay for dinner with your money." Now, how I could I refuse an offer like that.

We went to Bonanza and had a great time, turns out she just watched the movie Clue (my all-time favorite) and most of our conversation became one-liners from the movie.

It is so important to accept offers, isn't it? One never knows what can come of it. Especially the chance to start new style relationships with our relations! I'm so glad you had a great time with your granddaughter. You are both lucky to have special simple joys together!

Thanks for your support in my ongoing battle with sugar and those blues, too. Those simple things you take the time to do here online really can make a difference for those you touch.

Sounds like fun! For me, the "social" eating opportunties are the hardest to skip! So I try to still go out with people while watching what I order. Sometimes it goes well and other times ... ????
