Adjusting to change again......

Friday, October 19, 2012

Well, Once you have a baby, you had better get used to nothing ever being predictable again!!

I'm sure that's in a book somewhere. Since the low Vitamin D diagnosis I have been taking my own OTC vitamins. I never took the 50,000 IU. It seems so drastically high and I can't ever get anyone on the phone at my OBGYN if I have questions. So I'm going to get a second opinion with a PCP. So far, when I get at least 8 straight hours, plus one additional nap, I'm ok. So I'll see what another doc will say.

Almost forgot to mention. I have been sick with a virus I caught from my son who had the croup all week. Whew! All I can say is I'm glad the week was over.

This week I'm at my parent's house with my baby while my husband is working in Canada.

I am in training for a new work from home call center job. Had to. Apparently my student loans found me and I have to make a car payment on loans starting next month for the next 21 years. Yay! Since I owe $8000 in medical bills with one in collections because of Joey's newborn hospital stay plus house payments, credit debts etc. I knew my days as a non working stay at home mother was numbered. I've got two jobs lined up and I'll be in training through December but I should start working in November. Other than that I'm still selling on ebay and I love that but I still have lots to learn. I had plans to start a business in my area but I could be a ways from that until I can get some debts paid down. I am trying to avoid putting Joey in daycare because it would cost nearly $500 per month. So I have to begin making 800 per month right off the bat with loan payments and daycare. So I'm trying to see if I can use the services of part-time daycare and the help of my hubby......uh yeah we'll se how that goes

Diet...ptthh I have had no time to plan anything so I'm going to get some help. I've recruited the help of an online personal trainer. I've received my first week of meals so far. I gotta admit, I'm not pleased with the low caloric daily totals. Some days are below 1200. I don't know how you can workout in a gym and eat so little. I guess it has worked for some but not a lady with a baby. There's no way. I'm going to give his meal plan a week but I'm going to add in one additional snack. Something dense and sugar free like protein brownies or something.

Soo tired right now! Joey basically did not fall asleep until midnight, woke up at 5, and then 9 and then I napped with him from 11-1. I stayed up til 2 as usual. That's my only me time. Hopefully the gym will help me get some more me time. I start next week.

Have a good weekend.

Why would a personal trainer ever set you up with 1200 calories per day??? That seems too low! Hope things are improving as far as the health and working goes!

I can relate. Right now our "baby" is settling my MIL's estate and it eats up all of our free time.

I have wondered about those huge vitamin d doses too.

I am also sick with a virus. They are really making the rounds right now.

I hope the jobs pan out. I would like to learn to sell on ebay as well.

I could not handle eating less that 1200 calories a day. That is not healthy and not recommended unless you are under a physician's care.

Goodness you do have a full plate! emoticon Life sometimes does seem to throw so many challenges at once it is overwhelming. However, it appears you have some great insight into what is going on. The next step is to break it down into priorities which can be managed. (easier than it sounds-I know). Getting that second opinion is a emoticon idea. Taking care of yourself is so important-otherwise how can you juggle everything else? As for the manner of your trainer, you might also look into other options for that one too, given your lifestyle.
Although daycare isn't feasible, perhaps you could find some help other ways. Trade days with other working mothers etc.
I hope you find resolutions soon. What I have suggested are simply ideas which might help with the panic of what next? You are the one who knows best. Think a bit out of the box. We are always here for you. Never leave yourself out of the
equation!
Best wishes as you continue to pursue your chosen life goals.

If you could, could you send me a message about working at home? I am unemployed and really need to find a job. I live in Georgia near Jacksonville, FL (really deep south!). I hope you can get that income rolling in to deal with those bills. My worry is having two teens that will need college soon and my help. So I really need to find a job ASAP!

I remember when I went through what you are going through (three different times) three babies for me. It has been so long ago, but you sure bring back the memories. I wish you the best and will be praying for you. You are really trying I can see. Hang in there!!

Pray for guiding you to do the best. We have to ask THE LORD for help and sometime we live very occupied that we forgot about HIM. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR LOVES ONE. emoticon
