Fall seven times, get up eight

Friday, October 19, 2012

Lets face it, life almost never goes as planned. Things pop up when you least expect it and totally throws you off. But guess what, every time you are knocked off of the horse, you should make it your business to get back up.

After coming back from my job's conference last Friday night, life got pretty crazy, my stepmom had lap band surgery, which i disagree with, but I saw her reasoning for doing it. She is a borderline diabetic and had to make the decision to make a drastic change to lose weight. What an eye opener right??? Then my Dad got the Dengue fever, which a close to fatal disease if not detected early. It is spread through mosquitos. So I had to take up the mantle of running the families businesses. During all this time I still managed to exercise, but not as much as I usually do. Well on Sunday and monday I went out to run with this group that I organized on the island. And the rain fell on both days and we got wet. Sooooo I caught the flu.... During all of these days, the only thing I tracked was water, and I cheated a bit but not too much...

Anyway, I'm back at it again, I'm back to tracking, I'll be running this afternoon once the weather permits and I'll be making it all happen! emoticon

I promised myself that i would never give up and I mean it! emoticon

I know there will be more rough days ahead but i intend to show them who's boss!

Yes!!! You've got the right spirit and approach for this. The weather may slow you down, but it will NOT stop your progress. Progress is about more than miles, more than the scale, more than tracking... its about your commitment to KEEP MOVING FORWARD!!!
