IRENE IS NO ANGEL.

Friday, October 19, 2012

emoticon Yesterday I got angry, yes, angry. That is not right but I did it anyway.
Arriving at the Mexican bridge to meet the pastor's son 1/2 hour early I waited until 11:00, one hour, yes one hour after he was to show and no show.
I am sitting in the United States side of the bridge and try to call the pastors cell with the phone number I have. It didn't work as my phone was turned to Mexico, not the United states. Here on the border you think you are in Mexico.

After 11:00 I left. It was so hot and I had been sitting long enough. Every little bit I would stop and try to call. For a few miles in I am still on Mexico on my cell.

Then I finally got her and she said she didn't know where her son was. He was supposed to be with me. I called back and forth for hours. You see that wasn't my money, it was theirs. Every call is 95 cents a minute. I am getting madder by the minute.

I stopped and had something to eat thinking that would help me but my waiter did not give me good service so I did not give him a tip. Still emoticon

Came home, called, he had not called her and the daughter in law said he had gone to McAllen which is close to me. I had no idea what he was doing there.

Finally in the middle of the afternoon he called me. He got to the bridge at 1200 and had gone with a co worker to collect a pay check from their boss in Weslaco.
Now I understood that. He had to do it as the boss called and he didn't want to lose his wages which he uses to support his wife, daughter and himself.

We did agree to meet Saturday morning. I don't like to do anything on Saturday as that is my getting ready for Sunday day.

Well, when I got home and had thought not to give them the $ 100.00 extra I always give them personally and after not tipping the waiter I went to the mail box and found a surprise gift from someone who said I just thought I should send this. $200.00. So I will be giving them their $100.00. The pastor would come to our side of the bridge but he does not have papers and can't.

So see God always tries us, Tribulation works patience, Then shows us once again that He does meet all of our needs.

So all of you who thought I was an emoticon let it be known I am human just like all of us.

Then in the afternoon my girl friend who lives one mile from me was traveling going toward Oklahoma City when she got in a big dust storm. There were 30 accidents and several people injured. I was concerned because that is tornado country. She finally found a way to turn around and followed some cars out of it and found a motel. She called me while she was still sitting in her car so I really prayed. I called her later and she was well but I went online and found a picture of the pile ups.

Then last night we began to have storm warnings here. Hail was coming toward us and it was lightening but the storm veered off and went to other towns here.
Now I am wondering if my friends are all right.

Quite a day. But I ended up emoticon

God bless you.

Irene

Oh Irene, that is why you are so special is because you are just like each of us, a human being in the flesh. LOL.

But, you have such a sweet and warm spirit of caring that just shines from you even through the sparkpages.

A person does not even have to see you face to face to feel your warmth and love of others.

You are loved and valued. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

None of us are angels, giving God alot to work with. May we honor his great love by the way we glorify him.

Nope, you're not an angel, you're a saint.

Lorraine reaches over and dusts off your robe of righteousness that Father has clothed you with for daily living.

Thank you for sharing. You did not have to, but you did.

I hate it when I get angry, which may be more than you are thinking. emoticon

I understand that this is no good for my blood pressure, so I do try and make an effort.

As for the ending. It all turned out well. Amazing how we get what we need, no matter what the issue is. emoticon

I think the miracle of it all I got home and waiting for me in the box was an unexpected gift of $200.00. I think that God's way of saying I understand and I forgive.
Even the Lord got angry especially at the hypocrites and those he served but they would not receive. He even overturned the tables in the temple.
As I wrote also we will meet Saturday morning and the Lord will give me the strength.
Irene

Irene, we being mere mortals, of course we get angry! You waited a long time and in the heat and it was a trip that could have been avoided had you known he wouldn't be able to show up.
But . . . you're still an emoticon in my eyes and always will be!

Irene, you did have a busy day, but the Angel in you outweighs the getting mad. You are still an Angel in my mind. Thanks for sharing, and probably helped to unvent.
God Bless

Irene, at your age it is not good to get so angry. Well, not at any age. LOL!

Your time would have been better spent looking around at some beauty of your surroundings, or praying . Always take the lemons and make lemon aid , angry serves no purpose, it makes the body sad.

Hugs Mary

Oh, that was a trial and ordeal. No wonder you got angry. Why couldn't he have called you instead of leaving you in the heat and waiting, waiting? The gift was received in quite good timing and you saw the meaning of it. You may not be an angel, but for earth, you are close enough!! -Marsha

    Dear Irene,
Yes, "there are none righteous no, not one!" As much as we want to be like Christ and have even conformed to His image we still are human and do things we wish not to do and don't always do the things we should do! Thank you Lord Jesus for coming to be my Savior... my way of escape ... my way of still being able to live eternally with you and the Father, when I accept my sinfulness, ask forgiveness from the Lord and ask Him to take my penalty for that wrong fullness and to live with me for ever!!
Blessings!! Thanks for being such a sweet example for Christ to us all!!
