I think they must've been wrong, but I could use some good news so I'll take it: down 1.4 for my lowest weight in 4 yrs. My third vacation in a row that I came back thinner than I left -- not by much, in reality, but definitely better than the alternative!
We rented a condo while we were away, so we only ate out one meal a day (one day not eating out at all).
And I realized something. I was forced to use a smaller bowl for my tuna Waldorf salad than I do at home -- the upside being that I used only 1 tbsp of mayo vs 1 1/2. And I'm now using a smaller bowl at home, too.
You have to cut corners anywhere you can!
I made the best lunch in Kauai (the same one I ended up losing on the cruise; oh well). I made a grilled cheese using avocado, harvarti & a regular English muffin. I almost never eat regular ones anymore but it was soooooo good! And a salad with just olive oil, a little lemon juice, sea salt & sliced papaya. Best lunch ever. Until I lost it. May be a while before I eat papaya again.
We apparently have a date for my father's surgery now -- nov 12. Hopefully everything will go smoothly & I'll still be able to go to Vegas. And I'm seriously hoping 2013 will be a better year!
