Anybody like juicing? I need tips!

I bought a juicer, and need tips and ideas for great drinks! I am trying to get in more fruits and veggies. I am not a veggie lover, so I need a drink that doesn't taste like grass! :) And I love fruit!

    We went to YouTube and online sites for ideas; but we like to put a conglomerate of veggies & some fruits. Kale is GREAT, cucumbers help yield liquid, but also Romaine lettuce, tomatoes, celery, ginger, zucchini, carrots, spinach, then we'll add apple and pear to sweeten it. If you make extra ahead, (we'll make like half a pitcher) you have to add a tad of lemon juice, to keep it from getting that acrid taste.

    Carrots, apple and cukes make drinks sweeter. Great for when you start juicing. Celery adds a bit of a salty taste. Try small combinations to find what you like. I bet you eventually start loving the grassier ones! :)

    It sounds kind of weird, but I love parsley with ruby red grapefruit. I'll either add some melon, or put in some stevia if it's too sour. I have a Blendtec, so I make "whole juice" but I think the basic combos would be the same. Berries are great for hiding the taste/color of greens. I like banana, blueberry and spinach as a smoothie.

I have a book written by Cherie Calbom and Maureen Keane Titled
Juicing for life it is full of excellent recipes and all kinds of advise and suggestions for healthy juicing... I have had the book for a while so I don't
know if it is still in print check the internet.
A recipe ...1/4 inch slice ginger root...1 Beet ..1/2 apple seeded
4 carrots greens removed .push ginger, beet,and apple through hopper with
carrots..don't peel the fruit and veggies just make sure you scrub them first.
The apple and ginger add some flavour to the juice or if you will they help to
take down the strong taste of the veggies. Good Luck.
