Another dead refrigerator.

Wednesday, October 17, 2012

Sometimes being the stock up queen just doesn't pay off. Woke this morning to a dead refrigerator. It's the extra one in the garage, but it was packed full. This is the second one in three years. The first one went out the day before Thanksgiving....with a huge bird in it. It's replacement was a hand me down from my parents. Now to shop for NEW one. Argh!

Made for a frantic morning of trying to salvage, pitch and cook. Scrambled a whole dozen eggs because they were at that "hmm?" stage.

Still, I'm thankful my son discovered it (he was the hero last time too) while things were salvageable. I'm thankful I had time to deal with it. I'm thankful we won't miss a meal over the food lost. I'm thankful I'm not expecting to feed a huge crowd tomorrow. I'm thankful we can replace the refrigerator.

Life is good. emoticon

I love your positive perspective. I heard my fridge make some strange noises a couple of days ago... hopefully fridge-sickness is not catchy. lol

oh my! So glad you are able to get a new one! It seems like it is always something. My son accidently broke my laptop computer screen the other day! Ugh! I.m typing this through a cracked screen. My eyes are going to go crazy but for now i'm not replacing it. Life is still good and God is always good! Thank you for all your encouragement to me on my weight gain. I'm just now getting back into the swing of things. Not at my best with my eating but doing much better Yeah! I'm exerciseing again too!... I'm easing back into it. Lots of smiles! - Kelly

Last time I had one go out it was followed the next day by the washing machine and the third day by scraping the car going into the garage! When it rains it pours.

The good news is the modern ones are much more energy efficient.
