"Change Your Story, Change Your Results
Motivation is not something you find or lose, have or don't have. It is the product of how you see yourself in the world: active or passive, effective or ineffective, powerful or victimized, normal or pathological. If you want to be able to motivate yourself, you need to begin seeing yourself as active, effective, powerful, and normal."
I am reading Dean Anderson's series on motivation in the Sparkpeople Motivation Articles. I found this quote to be a life altering perceptive. www.sparkpeople.com/reso
This makes so much sense to me because I am a writer. When I am writing, if the story starts to go in a direction that I don't like, then I change it. The idea that i can do the same with my own life is enlightening and liberating.
I choose to be strong, healthy and happy. Each day I will write a little more of my story to get to my happily ever after. There are so many subplots and undercurrents to my main story. The water I drink that refreshes and replinishes my skin. The chair marching that strengthens my legs and gives me energy. The fruits, vegetable, whole grains and lean proteins that fuel my adventure. For my story is an adventure story! My adventure has everything! Love, romance, travel, laughter, mysteries to solve all there for me to enjoy each and every day.
What will you write in your story today?
