10 Update On Brother Out Patient Skin Cancer Surgery On Right Arm.

Wednesday, October 17, 2012

They took out 5 millimeters in all directions along with the growth. Came out in one piece. It was quite large. They are very Pro-Active Comprehensive Blood and Cancer Center. At his first vist they froze spots on his neck, ears, forehead and lip that was all
precancerous. They are pretty sure they got all of it. Will check the growth etc, to make sure. Goes back in two weeks to have stitches out. Can not lift anything at all. Hand and arm was numb til midnight. This morning Dave could not see veins on hand because it is so swolen. He works as a Road Maintence Worker for the county. So going to work is out. Will take day by day. Been with them for four years and have not taken a sick day off until now. So has plenty of sick leave days that he can take. He has a lot of pain with it too. If more needs to be done they will do it in two weeks. Will be going in every four months for awhile so they can check him for anything else that might be there. They was trying to get every cancer cell. Im very worried and concern about it spreading (going Up the Arm etc.) Will Have To Trust that God will take care if it. Please keep Him in Your Prayers. Thank You Very Much.

I can relate to this...I'm a skin cancer survivor. I'm to just annual dermatology visits now. Here's a link to the blog I wrote on my 1 year anniversary of the melanoma removal
