Day Four Of My ActiveLink

Today I did three back to back water aerobics classes for a total of 150 minutes. I knew this would really skew my baseline for ActiveLink so I took my device off while I was in the water. I thought that that would flatten my activity level for the day but it didn't. There was a three hour blank on my chart where I took the AL off but other than that, there were lots of other bars of activity. To balance things out, I made sure that I did a lot of moving out of the water today. I could see where I was very active from 12 noon until at least 2:30p.m. All I did was do tasks around the house. Because I worked out so hard and also was active afterwards, I am exhausted tonight. Tomorrow is a lighter exercise day. I plan to wear my ActiveLink in the pool tomorrow to record my regular length aerobics workout. I also did this on Monday so some of my exercise will show up on my baseline.

Wearing the ActiveLink has made me very aware of my body movement. I didn't realize how much I move around even when I think I'm just sitting. The data I'm collecting tells the story. My husband has always told me to just sit still for a while and relax. I had no idea what he was talking about and honestly thought that I did that, until I saw my daily activity. I became aware that when I sit down to rest, I get right back up again to do brief tasks. Interesting!
