New Rule (Last Blog Entry Today -- I Swear!)

New Rule:

For every 15 minutes I spend sitting on the couch, I will do 1 minutes of intense activity (e.g. step aerobics, jogging in place, kickboxing, dancing around like a crazy person, or anything else that gets my heart rate way up--in the 90-105% range).

I'm going to call this the Movie Night HIIT workout. Haha. It might drive my bf a little nutty, but I won't even need to pause the movie to do all of these things, and it will be a nice little metabolism booster for me.

    Good for you!!!!! My husband got used to me doing things like this while we are watching movies. I would jog in place, do squats, sit ups, push ups, etc. Kill to birds with one stone kinda of thing right! GOOD LUCK. emoticon

  Yeah, that's why my son moved the elliptical machine in front of the rec room tv, so he can become a couch climber-jogger instead.

I cleared out a path in a figure-eight around the coffee table and the dining room table, and speed walk during the commercial breaks. You might not think that you could break a sweat doing that, but by the end of an hour-long program, I did.

    Or as we call it here,"The couch Potatoe" workout. Our version you do 10 sit-ups,10 push-ups and 10 squats. You repeat them if you get thru the first cycle until the commercial is over. We did it a few times during the Olympics.
Here is a challenge for you and it is fun. Dare your boyfriend to do the exercises you do during the commercial,then acept his chalenge by kicking his butt,making him try to top you,which makes you work harder.
You can push each other and spend quality time togetter,also helps to have a workout buddy.
