disgusted with myself

so disgusted with myself... i knew this was coming and didnt have the motivation to stop it... i weighed myself yesterday morning and I hit the 145 mark... 145.4 to be exact.. i knew I had been pushing closer to it but kept thinking I wont hit i wont hit it.... well I did.... I guess its time to get off my lazy butt and figure out what exercises I can do that wont give me a headache or ignore the headaches and work through them anyway..... i refuse to gain my weight back and if I dont stop it now I know it will come back...

    Remember that it's one day at a time. We are not destined to get immediate results--the same way we did not put on the weight overnight. The important thing is to catch the gain by getting back on track--not punishing yourself. It truly is about progress, not perfection.

    I can't imagine working out when you don't feel good, but so proud of you for catching it early when it's more easy to reverse. Don't make the mistake I did - I put my head in the sand...or, really, more appropriately, the refrigerator...and at myself back 70 of the 95 pounds I had lost. (over 2 years) You are wise to recognize, admit and be honest with yourself what you have to do to nip it in the bud. You are a strong woman, I know you can do it.

    I go through a bout of migraines every time I start exercising again (so why do I stop?). I find it's worse if I start out too intense or lift too much weight. Start out easy and build up gradually. At least you're aware and not gaining it all back like I have, plus more!

    Wishing you health. Good advice regarding asking the Doctor what you can do. Also consult a dietician if you can.

    To be 145 would be a nice enough goal for me but alomost impossible. Best of luck to you.

    Research or ask a dr for exercise suggestions that are low impact and won't irritate your headaches. Take care of yourself and don't kick yourself, this is a lifetime choice. emoticon
