Well, I'm going to write this blog entry today since I am having knee surgery tomorrow and who knows what kind of crazy stuff I might write in the haze of anesthesia and pain medicine! Ha!
So! Today was pretty low key. I really like days like that. I slept in and then dressed in comfy jeans and a soft tee shirt. I made myself some scrambled eggs, goetta and toast for breakfast. I worked on some homework and talked with my hubs for a while then we went to Batesville to run a couple of errands and pick up my pal and classmate, Amy. She finished some last minute touches on her paper while I printed mine off, then we were on our way to class! I love, Love, LOVE my Creative Writing class! I have had a wonderful time so far this semester. Since we missed lunch, I grabbed a bottle of water and a bag of riceworks chips to munch on during class. Then our instructor passed our little bags of hanover pretzels. We worked for a while, and all those wonderful carby little snacks really ticked off my tummy. It was growling like mad. So Amy brought me a Baby Ruth back from break. I ate it like a starving man. Whew! The peanuts in it really did help though.
After class, I took Amy and another friend of ours to their respective homes and headed to my own home. There I worked on a little bit of math homework. After that, it was fairly late. Hubby suggested we go out for supper since I have to be up so early for surgery (leavin' at 4 a.m.!!!) So we went to Skyline Chili. Again. Always look at the restaurant nutrition menu before ordering. I asked the waitress for nutrition information. She was happy to supply it to me. I had a small three way and a cheese coney with very light cheese.
I did go over a bit on my calories. I think by 200, but this doesn't really upset me, since I am having that work done on my knee tomorrow and probably won't be able to eat much. It will even out.
Oh!!! I almost forgot! Today was weigh in day. I'm down 2 lbs. I should have lost a half pound more, but that's not much of a set back. I am going to be able to do a whole lot more once my knee is well! Yay! More weight loss is on the way. And REGARDLESS of the fact that I didn't lose as much as I wanted this week, I have had several people tell me I'm looking smaller, so that's great news! Oooohhh! And on top of this goodness, I got a surprise visit from my best friend, Nesi today. What an awesome way to start the week!
Have a great Tuesday everyone!
Peace and Love,
Me, Nesi and Amy at my 2012 New Year's Eve party...
