Last time I blogged was over a month ago! Beginning of Sept! That is WAY to long!!! I won't let it happen again!! But I did stay on track with my fitness and I did log in almost daily to SP! So I tracked my fitness and earned my sparkpoints. I would read others blogs as well.
I stayed on track the whole month of September. A BIG thanks to my workout/running partner [[JACKIMARIE2]]. Who has became such a wonderful friend to me. I thank her DAILY for being an awesome partner. It took some time -- but I did find a steady workout partner. We have our days where we don't get to run/workout but we will do it on our own. We motivate each other really well. In the month of Sept we worked out or ran atleast 3-4 days a week together. I introduced her to the 30 day shred -- we only did it 4 days in Sept. But she loved it! and we only did level 1. Then I introduced her to the Kinect Biggest Loser Workout! Which she loves too. I FORGOT how much of a workout that is!! My stomach muscles hurt for 2 days after I did it last thursday! haha.
I totaled up the number of miles we ran in September and we ran 20.42 miles. We want to try to beat it this month of October. But now that it is staying cloudier and getting colder we find it is hard to push ourselves as hard. We are working on that though.
So my 25th birthday was Oct 1st and all I wanted was to see a difference in any pictures that people were going to take -- but the night we went out for my birthday EVERYBODY but 3 people backed out of going so I was kind of upset that night and didn't want to take pictures. But I come to realize -- you can't change the people you hang out with (because it isn't the first time they ditched me or lied to me) I can only change WHO i hang out with and surround myself with better people who support me.
Since Oct 1st (I took that day off for a day to myself)... but since Oct 1st I have worked out 10 days .. that leaves 5 days with no workout. That is pretty good!! I am proud of myself. I keep a daily track on the calender on my fridge .. I look at it daily. I know what I did and how long I did it for. On the 6th my weigh in was 196.2 and this week I was up 202.8 but I know it is because of my food choices from the 2-3 days prior.. Limited water, Subway, Chinese, BK, Little ceasers) NOT good choices at all!! But I am focusing this week on atleast 60oz of water daily. We have a ice/water machine at work so I can bring my cup which is 24oz and keep filling it up. I am also going to work on my food choices -- if we do get fast food I am going to start getting the salads. I never tried them before and I hear they are good.
So I ran in the rain for the first time a couple weeks ago and I LOVED it. But it was still warm outside. I got a half mile into my run and it started sprinkling -- but the time I got to 1.5 miles it was more of steady rain just light. It felt really good. I finished 2.08 miles in 28.33 -- my QUICKEST time yet. I was soooo proud of myself. We ran in town 1 day last week and I realized -- I like running the trail A LOT better. I felt like we went farther -- but we went less than what we do on the trail -- but I notice we will push ourselves faster.
I went to purchase some new workot clothes to wear when it gets cold out. Like a workout fleece and a different jacket. I wore it today and it kept me warm. I am just curious what are other types of workout clothes that you prefer when it is cold/winter time??
I will be working hard this week because I take some new progress pictures!! and It will be 1 year on my journey. I am excited to see the comparison pictures from Oct 2011!! So be on the look out for those this weekend. I am thinking about putting one up on Facebook -- but I am not sure if I could handle any negative comments .. if I get any. Should I put one up there?!
