Last Tuesday, I finished my blog entry with a list of running related stuff I was going to accomplish during the week. Done! Except for one deviation. Saturday's 10K was brisk (32°F) and fast. I was happy with my time. I thought the X-Country race on Sunday was a 10K because the official map showed a 5K route for women and a longer route for men. When I reached the point where the men's trail branched off on the map, the volunteer stopped me from turning. It was a 5K race for everyone. The finish line was in sight and I had reserved energy for another 5K. I was surprised, but not upset. I still had a good 5K time and got a long sleeved T-shirt out of it.
Next Sunday is the Leaf Peeper Half Marathon in Cortland. Then we head for Rio. I hope to have some pictures to post when we return.
